On september 17th, Lush will be opening a new store in Rotterdam. On that day, the new Gorilla perfumes will be released aswell!
We all know Karma, Vanillary, and the latest: Tuca Tuca.
Now, there will be 5 new perfumes launched for NL!
IMOGEN ROSE
Real rose oil and absolute in amounts that nobody in their right mind would use; a soft, exquisite, powdery amber accord and the dry, woody vetivert notes make this eponymous homage to Simon's young daughter a beautiful, romantic, one-of-a-kind perfume. Shakespeare might have written a sonnet. Simon created this.
Rose, bergamot, vetivert, ambrette seed, tonka, orris
LUST
Look at that Edward poster! LOL |
Unashamedly carnal jasmine. Wear it if you want to get lucky. Mark is particularly fond of working with jasmine absolute and he's gone all the way. The indolic character of the white flower is in full bloom, accented by rich florals and a soft, woody base.
Jasmine, ylang ylang, rose, vanilla, sandalwood
THE SMELL OF FREEDOM
Simon's first fine fragrance, Breath of God, was formed of two distinct scents, which, when combined, became a mesmerising and powerful perfume. In The Smell of Freedom, he continues this style and combines three beautiful fragrances to a wonderful effect. This perfume is based on Simon's experiences of meeting three survivors of hardship. The common factor was freedom. He used local materials and created a lasting triptych portrait. The Smell of Freedom opens with a fresh, herbal accord and reveals its complex, spicy and woody nature as it warms on your skin. It's a masterpiece.
Lemongrass, lemon myrtle, neroli, jasmine, ginger, fire tree, clove, black pepper, sandalwood, oudh, orris
ORANGE BLOSSOM
Fresh orange blossom absolute and neroli oil burst out of the bottle like a distilled Mediterranean moment. Over time, the honeyed and woody tones develop on your skin and you're left with a warm glow. Orange Blossom was going to be used in a candle, but when we smelled it, we couldn't get enough. It's difficult to get orange blossom scents right - they can turn too thin, too soapy or too harsh. Simon's version is just right.
Orange blossom, neroli, rosewood, ylang ylang, sandalwood, beeswax.
BREATH OF GOD
Intensely medicinal at first, this fragrance develops throughout the day, continuously revealing new facets. It's a thinking person's perfume; it makes you contemplate. The melon notes add a transparent quality, which should be at odds with the smoky dry-down, but instead combine to create a wonderful olfactory experience.Neroli, lemon, melon, jasmine, rose, vetivert, sandalwood, cedarwood, amber, musk.

I don't know if these will be available in store or mailorder after this date, I'll get back to you on that!
If I look at the ingredients I'll probably like Orange Blossom and Smell of Freedom. And if I didn't know that Lush tends to use wayyyyy too much jasmine in their products, I'd like Lust aswell. But unfortunately for me, they tend to make the perfumes to heavy, and I'm more into lighter flowery and fruity scents.
