I heard it through the Grapevine

On the Beautytreat website there's a contest where you can win palettes and gelliners. The theme of the looks must be 'fruit'.
Since I like being creative, ofcourse I wanted to participate in this contest.
The day before yesterday I posted the first look, yesterday the second one and today, the third one. After I've blogged about them all, I'll enter them for the competition.

Every look is inspired in a different way, you'll see for yourself.

Today's inspiration are grapes. I immediately thought of this song, which seemd like a nice title.

The pic I used for inspiration:

I like the way it shows all colours of grapes, the greens, the reds and the purples. It's a really nice colourcombination. I though about using the curling vines for the eyeliner, but I made the decision to make this one more wearable.

Products I used:
  • 88 palette shimmer
  • Hema eyeshadowbase
  • Gosh flirty curl mascara
  • Gosh extreme art eyeliner
  • Catrice mono eyeshadow matte, 070 Dark Lilac

I used the grapes pretty much for inspiration of the colours.

The middle colour is a more reddish colour, but the flash of my cam makes it paler and more pinkish. The pic below shows how much brighter my flash sometimes makes the colours.

I really like this look, and will probably use this colour combination more often in the future.

I like the way these colours work together.

So again, what do you think? What would you have done differently?
Would you like to see more looks inspired by fruits or other things?
And which one is your favourite?

Cheeky Cherry

On the Beautytreat website there's a contest where you can win palettes and gelliners. The theme of the looks must be 'fruit'.
Since I like being creative, ofcourse I wanted to participate in this contest.
Yesterday I posted the first look, today I'm posting the second one and tomorrow, the third one. After I've blogged about them all, I'll enter them for the competition.

Every look is inspired in a different way, you'll see for yourself.

Today's look is inspired by cherries. I love cherries and at my parents place we have different cherrytrees. I really like the colours ranging from bright red to such a dark red that it's almost black. And the green stem gives a nice contrast. I even used the little brown part they always have on top where they hung onto the trees.

The pic I used for inspiration:

Products I used:
  • 88 palette shimmer
  • Hema eyeshadowbase
  • 2True eyeshadow black
  • Gosh Flirty Curl mascara
  • Gosh extreme art eyeliner

As you can see, I tried to capture the many different colours of red a cherry can have, but all blended together they start to look like one colour.

I made the eyeliner look like the stem of a cherry, so it almost looks like a cherry has 'fallen' onto my eye.

This look is pretty wearable, you could even use it for Valentines day, if you used a a black eyeliner or something.
So how do you like this one? Would you have done it differently?Tomorrow I'll post 'I heard it through the Grapevine'.

Pineapple Party

On the Beautytreat website there's a contest where you can win palettes and gelliners. The theme of the looks must be 'fruit'.
Since I like being creative, ofcourse I wanted to participate in this contest.
Today I will post the first look, tomorrow the second one and the day after that, the third one. After I've blogged about them all, I'll enter them for the competition.

Every look is inspired in a different way, you'll see for yourself.

The first look was inspired by the Pineapple. I love pineapples, and we eat a lot of them. I love how it is hard and rugged on the outside and soft and sweet/sour on the inside.
I tried(yes TRIED, haha) to make my eye look like a pineapple on this one.

Here's the pineapple I looked at to make this look:

Products I used:
  • 88 palette matte
  • Hema eyeshadowbase
  • The Falsies mascara by Maybelline
  • Gosh, extreme art eyeliners

Unfortunately for me, the lines I made with the eyeshadow smudged a lot, so after blinking a couple of times, my pineapple started to look like....a dead turtle..lol.
But still, I had fun creating this look, so I'm still showing it to you.

So what do you think, and how would you have done it? Tomorrow I'll post the look 'Cheeky Cherry' .

EOTD Bourjois Or Baroque

This EOTD was made with another Bourjois Smoky Eye trio, no.2 Or Baroque. This is the one I use the most, especially when I go to work. Sometimes I use some black eyeliner or brown eyeliner with it, or sometimes just a little brown line below my eyes.

Products I used:
  • Hema eyeshadowbase
  • Bourjois Smoky Eye trio, no.2 Or Baroque
  • Hema waterproof eyeliner pen, black
  • L'oreal Lash Architect mascara, Midnight Black.

This trio, as the others, has three different colours, that really work well together. You can make all kinds of looks with them. I love this one a lot, because it has soft brown and gold colours, but also a nice shimmer to make it less boring.

As usual, I used the lightest colour in the inner eyecorner and the darkest in the crease. This isnt that difficult of a look, so I won't explain it all.

The eyeliner gives it some extra colour, I like to have some darker eyeliner to give my face some extra colour, because I'm pretty pale.

So this is one of the looks I use when I go to work. I'm not really a 'nude/natural' makeup kind of girl :)
