I really hope I'm not jinxing this but it's looking more and more likely that Kate's finally going to get her Oscar. While she won for Supporting (Lead went to Meryl - but how cool was her speech?), it was for The Reader and she's got so much buzz around her right now. She's too cool to ignore! Don't fail me AMPAS!

yay for kate. it's a bit annoying, cos I desperately want kate to win - I think she's an amazing actress and deserves a win, but I also sorta really want anne hathaway to get it, even though I haven't actually seen rachel getting married lol. then again, anne will have plenty of opportunities in the future...not that kate won't, but sixth time has to be a charm for this lady.
